Baby Shower Favors... what do you think?

So, I don't know why I'm obsessed with having cotton candy as part of the baby shower favor, but I am.

I was originally going to ask my mom to put cotton candy in glass jars and add pretty ribbon, but it's turning out to be complicated since everything has to be ordered online.

I can't help with making the favors because they will either be pink or blue, depending if I'm having a boy or a girl - which my mom knows already! (I'm findig out at the shower)

What do you think if I just had a clear cellophane bag of cotton candy with a pink or blue candy stick attached to the ribbon and a sticker or cardstock that says "It's a GIRL/BOY!!! Sarah's Baby Shower" and the date? FYI... the sticker that says "COTTON CANDY" won't be on it. I think that sticker cheapens it anyway.

Do you think it wll look chintzy?

It will end up costing about $2/favor.

I would prefer to attach a favor cookie to each bag of cotton candy, but then we're talking over $4/favor, and I don't really want my mom spending that much on each one.

OR I can attach something else to the cotton candy. Any ideas?

i'm a huge fan of edible favors - i think it's cute and not chintzy.

I like the idea, but does it fit into the theme? Our baby shower was at a Italian rest SO it would have looked out of place. Does that make sense? I do love the idea, and thinks it's super cute way to let people know the sex

i think its a cute idea...its different and its edible which i am a fan of. i think the cotton candy is sufficient. just put a custom label over the one thats on there
