Baby Shower Gift Buying Question

I live in VA, my family is all in NY, so of course my shower will be in NY. Can I have everyone buy a gift and have them allow me to pick it up in my BRU in VA, bc I dont want to have to take a U-haul to get home, Id rather fly and ship the small things.



How would you put that in an invitation?

I don't think they will allow you to do that.

I had my shower in Texas and I took a second large suitcase (because I knew I would get a ton of cloths)

Inside the invitation, my mother wrote:

Let's help (your name) on her flight
By helping her travel light

Oversized gifts can be mailed to:
address

Gift cards are welcomed.

We only did this because at my bridal shower a lot of people got me oversized gifts and I had to return them at BBBeyond and get a credit. I didn't want to this to happen again, especially b/c of the BRU return policy. It worked out great! I got a ton of clothes and Gift Cards. BTW, no one mailed a gift. I think my guests found it easier to just give a gift card.
