baby shower opinions /ideas needed please!!!

I'm helping my mom plan my shower and we were wondering:

1) Should we have wine included in an afternoon lunch package??? (not really a drinking family)

2) should we do favors?? If so, any good ideas???

My mom had a brunch that included a champagne punch and ran a tab for any other alcohol. Not too many people drank. Although the punch was a big hit! My shower was in Dec. so my favors were x-mas ornaments that she made.

I am a wine drinker and to be honest I really appreciate when I can have a glass of wine at any function.

My moms just booked my shower and I've been helping them with ideas and stuff.

We debated about the wine issue too and in the end (since our families aren't big drinkers) we decided to just run a bar tab and if anyone wants wine, they can have it.

Wine was like $5 more per person, but we figured the bar tab would come out to less than that.

I think we are having a champagne punch as well..

I would definitely do wine and I would do a favor. People expect favors now. What about a chocolate lollipop as a favor?
