Baby Sophia Volunteers - Is there a Walk-A-Thon for her?
If not maybe we could organize one. It is great weather now and we could get sponsors, etc.

Definitely would be interested in a walk a thon or something like that.
There was a thread a while back where people talked about getting baskets donated and doing a silent auction type thing. I would also be interested in something like that as well!

I think a chinese auction is such a huge money maker, and not that hard to do. Our swim group does one and people buy A LOT of tickets. You just make up the baskets, display them on a table. You sell tickets at the auction (can be bought at Party City), the person puts their ticket in the bucket in front of the prize they want to win. A couple of hours later, you draw the winning tickets, winner goes home with basket.
You could also sell refreshments, etc. If someone is affiliated with a church, they are usually more than welcome to donate their community space for events like this.

there is an FSMA walk (families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy) this weekend at Long beach Boardwalk where Sophias family, and anyone who wishes to support them and all of the other SMA babies in the area..it starts at the Riverside Blvd block of the beach, i believe from 11-2, but i just heard maybe 10..i will post more later..we will be there walking to support them! If you can make it, please come down, this family, and all the other families really need our support!!
