Baby Swings and dogs
Has anyone heard anything about the swinging motion of the swing agitating dogs. My MIL swears she knows of so many babies that were attacked while swinging.

Re: Baby Swings and dogs
I have a dog and it has never bothered her when I have used the swing with my daughter.

Re: Baby Swings and dogs
I lived at my MIL's for the first 5 months after my son was born. She has a dog and I have a dog so there were two dogs around all the time. They were never bothered by the swing at all... and we used it ALOT
eta. And my dog is a little princess and gets annoyed over everything usually.

Re: Baby Swings and dogs
I was told the same and about how smaller, friendly dogs were doing it because the swing seemed unnatural to them.
We have a beagle so we watched him like a hawk with the baby in the swing. The only off thing that our beagle does if if Jack starts crying in his swing the dog walks up to it and sticks his head in the way and stops it from swinging. It's pretty funny. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Baby Swings and dogs
I guess it depends on the dog. We have a dog and have never had a problem. However, we never leave Andrew with her alone. Even though we trust her fully you never know.

Re: Baby Swings and dogs
Ok so I had a travel swing when marissa was younger and brought it to my moms and my mother has a boxer and the swing never bothers the dog the dog will sit next to the baby and make sure she was ok now what the dog does is follows her around as she is crawling to make sure she doesn't get hurt if she starts to cry the dog licks her and then runs to one of us and barks and runs back to the baby and licks her and does this till we go attend to the baby. My Fh stepmother has a pug and the swing didn't bother him at all and my FH mom has an 18 year golden retriever lab mix and the swing never bothered him at all either
