Baby turned breech at week 39!!

I have no idea how this baby could have changed positions in one week with such little room. Has this happened to any of you? The Dr. would rather not turn it b/c it is my first pregnancy and there's only a 50% chance it would work.

My first baby stayed breech the whole time and I decided against having a version to turn it as well due to the chances. I ended up having a c/s and it was fine! I had a great recovery and was not further discouraged with my second because I was able to have a VBAC with my DD.

Didn't happen to me but happened to a friend and they sent her right in for a c -section. But all is fine and she had a terrifc recovery.

hand raised. it happened to me. baby was head down at my 32 week sonogram. then she flipped at my 37 week. she never went face down. i had a csection on my exact due date. i found the csection an extremly pleasant experience. my doc offered to try to turn the baby, i declined.

My baby was always breech and I had a manual external version done at week 37. It was quite painful and a very unpleasant experience. It didn't work. I had a scheduled c-section two weeks later. Wish I would've skipped the version- I'll take a c-section over a version plus vaginal delivery any day! Good luck!!

It happened to me at 37.5 weeks. She turned and fattened up so that we couldn't turn her back. I had a c-section 5 days later to avoid me going into labor. What can you do? My c-section experience was a good one, so I figure it all worked out for the best.

Thanks so much for the advice! I was just a bit disappointed about the recovery. I want to be able to do everything I could if I delivered naturally. But, I guess the baby's the boss!
