Baby turning red
I was with my SIL today, and my nephew, who is 17 days old, all of a sudden turned bright red (almost purple) all over his body. He was sitting in his carseat at this time, not crying or anything (and he wasnt like pushing to go to the bathroom, which I know can cause babies to turn red.)
This lasted for about 5 minutes. His body was very warm. When I put my finger on him, the spot turned white, like it does when you have a sunburn.
My husband said that yesterday when he was holding him, that his legs were really really red.
I am so nervous for my SIL. I feel so bad for her. Has this happened to anyone?
Also, she called the dr, and they told her to "keep an eye on it"

Re: Baby turning red
That happened when we were visiting her the hospital. She thought he had a fever and brought him to the nursery. What did they say it was?

Re: Baby turning red
I brought that up to her, and she said she forgot all about that. She said that they said he didnt have a fever so he was fine. I told her to tell her dr tomorrow, she is going to make an appt.
