Babymoon Vacation Spot
Looking for an island with a 3 to 4 hour flight from NY in early November. Where did you go on your Babymoon and when? ...I'm worried about rain!

We did Turks and Caicos before dd1. Nada before dd2 came, well key west I guess.
Turks has easy, short, direct jet blue flights. Beautiful beaches, nice hotels and great restaurants. It's the tail end of hurricane season in November but you should be fine with weather.

I'll only be 18 weeks but we're calling it our babymoon. We're going to excellence riviera Cancun. Really short flight and we love the resort (well we loved their Punta Cana location, first time at the Mexico one.) We'll be there in early October.

Well I used to work in high end travel so our hotels were comped. I had to move hotels during my stay though...3 nights here, 3 nights here, 3 nights here,..blah blah.
Amanyara - insanely gorgeous, far from restaurants, etc, also insanely expensive
Regent Palm - did not like at all
Gansevoort - loved
There's also Grace Bay which we booked of clients at

Re: Babymoon Vacation Spot
We're looking to take ours a little before you, in October, which will also be our 5 year wedding anniversary. It's a bit tough, bc it's still technically hurricane season, but we really want to do something in the Caribbean.
Right now we're looking into Anguilla and St. Thomas.
On a side note, I've been to Turks & Caicos 2x, and stayed at the Regent Palms both times. Love that place!

We start at the Ritz in Puerto Rico. I wasn't comfortable leaving the US while pregnant. But I'm kind of a nervous Nelly lol. Anyway it's a short easy trip and really nice / relaxing.

Yup! That's the hotel we're considering. Only problem is we may have to bring DD, and I don't think it's the type of hotel you bring kids to. I don't want a hotel that caters to kids, but I also don't want to stay at one where we'll look super out of place with her.
