Bachelor Alum Kiptyn expecting first child with girlfriend
Another Bachelor Nation baby! Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad star Kiptyn Locke is expecting his first child with girlfriend Samm Murphy, he confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
The Southern California-based businessman, 37, who was the runner-up for Jillian Harris' heart on season five of The Bachelorette in 2009, will welcome a baby boy with Murphy this summer. The couple met last year at a charity event in L.A.
"I've always looked forward to being a dad. It's something I've been so excited about," Locke tells Us. Of Murphy, 29 -- who started her own medical distribution company and appeared on the reality show Opposite Worlds -- he gushes, "Samm is an amazing woman -- she's an athletic, active, intelligent woman running her own business. She'll be an amazing mom."
Locke previously romanced fellow Bachelor Nation star Tenley Molzahn, whom he met during the 2010 season of Bachelor Pad. They dated off and on until May 2014, and remain very close, both emotionally and geographically. (They live within a few blocks of each other in San Diego, Calif.!)
"We're still the best of friends," Locke told Us at the myVegas Las Vegas Extravaganza on March 23 in Hollywood. He also noted at that event that he was eager to start a family. "I want to have kids badly, and I will," he shared.

I always liked him, he always seemed more mature and nicer than many of the other male contestants.
