Bachelorette party ideas---lounges/restaurant recs
i need some ideas..my friend is a bm in a wedding in march and needs ideas of where to go for her brother's FW's party. the bride is on the shy side and is NOT into anything too risque--so strip stuff totally. any ideas besides lucky chengs? a place where maybe we can get dinner first and then stay for a show/drinks afterwards----or even a place to go afer we get dinner.
the party has to be on a thursday nite....anywhere from western suffolk---to nyc is good. it doesn't have to be a specific "bachelorette" place---even just a nice restaurant/lounge would be fine.
TIA

I live out East...the only places Ii can think of right now is Haupppauge-a restaurant called "Sweetwaters." I loooove that place. Ciao Baby...in Nassau or I believe there is a place called Aqua in Nassau but I have never been there. I heard is soppose to be good.

I absolutely loved having a high tea. Mine was at the GC hotel but there is also a new tea house on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown. There is also Tea and Tiques in Huntington but it looks very small from the outside.

Re: Bachelorette party ideas---lounges/restaurant recs
in the city there is a few cool restaurant lounges.
I love Manahatta. nice vibe and dance floor in the basement.
what about checking out a Marcha Latina party? we planned my bachelorette around one...it was so much fun. I have fond memories of dancing on the bar to Juanes and Shakira
A lot of people go to Mangia y Bevi. I went and the food is better than I thought it would be, the drinks were great and it was a lot of fun dancing with the waiters (and again on the chairs HAHA) it gets a little naughty (but NOTHING like what my friends did to me after ) and is great for someone who is shy but wants to have a little fun.
Honestly, Lucky Chengs to me is too contrived, and the food is the SUCK.
I have a boat load of other suggestions, but it depends really on the type of music you like to shake it to.
ETA: I forgot S.O.B's! great food, HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT bartender (man...so effing hottt dear lord you give me pause you give me pause) and it opens up to a dance floor after dinner service. plus live performances. (we did this the Friday night of my bachelorette weekend)

I second Manahatta! That is my fav. place!! I don't think I've ever had to wait on line for the bathroom there. That in itself is a HUGE deal!
