Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
Obviously we can't have a drunken shitshow for this bach party. (Then again, we DO have a built-in designated driver....... )
I'm thinkin' spa or daytime baseball game (she seems to get tired early)...anyone else have ideas? Money is not an issue, but its just a day thing, no travel/overnighting it.
TIA!

I agree with spa party. It's a very relaxing way to celebrate. Either that, or a daytime Broadway show and lunch.

Re: Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
I would do an overnighter at a spa/resort that has a restaurant for a nice and early dinner.

my friend did a spa day (people had the options for whatever treatments they wanted) and then we had an early dinner

I really like the idea of a broadway show and dinner. I know you're very into that, not sure if she is though. Otherwise, the spa sounds great. I'm sure she could use a little pampering.

Re: Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
Just make sure the spa can accomodate a pregnant woman - I'd check if they do prenatal massages.
Um... I didn't know you were into spas!

I agree with making sure the spa would accommodate pregnant woman. But I think the spa might be JUST what she needs. A nice pregnant massage and a facial is all my SIL asked for her birthday. With the stress of a wedding and being pregnant as well, she probably just wants to rest and relax. Then maybe a nice lunch afterwards.

We threw my pregnant friend a bachelorette party with DJ Chef. We cooked, danced around and had a good time. Low key but fun!

We're doing a cooking class for my sister's bridal shower, and the woman in charge has done bachelorette parties, too.
Food + pregnant bride = happy woman lol.

Spa party!
I just got back from a bachelorette party to Vegas. The highlight of our weekend was the spa. We booked a 4 hour private spa suite. It was a great time. Everyone got their individual treatments and we were able to hang out in our own private jacuzzi and steam room. We also got champagne and fruit in the suite.

For my friends, we went to Chat Noir in RVC....they have awesome tea and sandwiches...it was super cute. Then we went and got our nails done. The bride's sister brought champagne (bride wasn't pregnant) and cupcakes to the nail salon.

Actually, my friend's bridal shower was a tea party at a hotel in DC. It was SO nice! All different tea flavors, mini sandwiches, cakes, pastries. It was so relaxed.
Maybe you can do something like this at a hotel, and then book the hotel's spa too?

Re: Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
I'm in a wedding in August. The bride, a bridesmaid and myself are all pregnant. We were thinking of catching a show out east (the MOH said there is a playhouse out there) and then going to dinner.

Re: Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
Anything earleir in the day would be good.
Just and FYI if you do a spa thing give her a heads up because if she wants a prenatal massage she will need a Drs note saying all is good.

My vote is for Naked Boys Singing and dinner! The show is really funny and doesn't involve drinking (although you can).
If she is uncomfortable with the idea of naked men, then maybe another fun show like Avenue Q? Rock of Ages?

Re: Bachelorette party ideas - pregnant bride?
For my sisters we did a spa party at Sandalwood & Sage Day spa.
Link
It was really nice - we went in the evening and they let you bring in food/drinks etc. We also opted for the chocolate fountain that they offered and brought our own dippers. Everyone got to pick their own services and we split the bride's.
I wasn't pregnant at the time, but have been there at other times for a prenatal massage.
