Back from my Dr appt

I couldn't believe how hard it was to walk into that office. Doesn't help that it's right across the street from the hospital. Pulling in there almost sent me into a panic attack.

The staff is wonderful. I asked for the nurse that I really like. She took me back and did the usual stuff. She was really sweet.

Doc came in and we asked her a ton of questions. Turns out I had an acute infection of the placenta, sac and cord. They're not sure what caused it and we won't ever know.

I've been having pain in my side since last friday. She checked it out and had me do a sonogram. Turns out I have a ruptured ovarian cyst. Kick me while I'm down. They gave me Percocet.

I pretty much cried the entire time I was there. Especially in the sono room. Last time we were there was the week before I had my son. We were doing our anatomy scan and he looked great. It was so hard knowing we weren't going to see a baby on the screen. I couldn't even bring myself to look.

This ended up a lot longer than I anticipated. If you've made it this far thank you.

yes the first appointment back at the Dr was the worst... my old Dr i called to schedule and appointment and when i called the receptionist asked me if i was pregnant and i think i might have screamed "not anymore"...

I had to call the on call Doc twice in the time from when I had my son till now....i got the same Doc twice on the phone...

The first time he actually called me with some test results and asked how I was feeling "other than being pregnant and achy" and then the next time I told him about the pain in my side and he asked me if I was breastfeeding.

I told the doc I saw today if I saw him in the office I would have smacked him upside his head.
