Can anyone tell me what to expect from my Pre-Registration appt at the hospital?

I'm going on Saturday...what sort of questions should I be asking them? Is this when I let them know that I'll want an epidural?

Paperwork. I didn't meet with anyone to discuss anything medically it was paperwork and blood tests.

For me it was paperwork only. No blood work. I just went to the admissions office, and had to sign and fill out a ton of stuff, as well as give them my insurance cards and license for them to photo copy.

They yesterday I have my pre-op testing, and that's when the blood work happened. However, if you aren't having a planned c-section you don't go for pre-op testing so it should just be paperwork.

They won't discuss any details with you. It's basically just the people who work in the admissions office. Any details you need to discuss with your doctor.

Can I make a suggestion? Take a copy of your pre-registration forms for when you go into labor - or if you have a scheduled C, you coud always go early. I filled out the forms, showed up in labor and they asked my husband to fill out forms because they couldnt' find mine...he missed Madeline's birth. Came up & there she was on the french fry warmer :)

Hmmm - I don't recall doing this. I did send a bunch of paperwork to them in the mail though.
