back from The bank and the police station..
HI Guys, What a day! Thankfully my job was basically understanding that I could not be bothered with actual work today...the police calls, and bank issues and the drama was never ending. I just got home and u would not believe the charges that the muggers used my atm/credit card for!!!!
2 trips to cvs...
3 trips to rite aide..
1 trip to key food
and they paid THREE TIME WARNER CABLE BILLS!!!!!
I MEAN W...T....F... IS WRONG WITH PPLE!!!! It all totalled to OVER 1k!!!!!!!!
thankfully my bank is handeling all that and eventually i will get the $$ back that WAS in my account but for now my mom and my boyfriend r giving me money cause im literally at 0.00 especially with no id on me is sucha hastle!!!
BUT thankfully the cops and bank were all helpful, i spoke to the housing in my area and supposedly this is the 3rd reported case in the last few months so hopefully the rite aide or cvs video cameras caught something or MAYBE they can track in down threw the time warner account that was paid..
i just wanted to update you all...
once again thanks for the fms and posts..u guys rthe best!!!

wait - those IDIOTS paid 3 CABLE BILLS?????  if the detectives do what they're supposed to do - they should be able to catch the sc*mbags!!!!!!

yes can u believe that!!!!! how f*cking stupid, mind u these bills were like hundreds of dollars, how do u let a cable bill get that high, im glad it was worth robbing someone!!! so insane  tomorrow i hafta call the detective on the case again, its so insane how my walk for pizza turned into all this sh*t

First and glad you are ok.
It's not uncommon for stolen credit cards/credit card numbers to be used to make many smaller purchases these days.
My DH and I noticed two small charges last summer on our cc bill, both under $20. One for a fast food restaurant (we rarely if ever eat fast food) and one for Payless shoes, both in Brooklyn Haven't been to Brooklyn in years. The cc company said most people, who have their numbers stolen never notice those charges.
The criminals also figured that they most likely wouldn't be questioned on such small purchases at those stores.
I've sorry what happened and it is a PITA but the most important thing is you are alright.

Michi, I am glad to hear you are OK. My ATM card was stolen a while back and the bank reversed all the charges.
I hope the police catch these geniuses.
