back pain at 9 weeks?

I just went food shopping, and while I was going through, I started to get bad back pains in my lower back, the only way to describe the location is near my kidneys... I just had to pee.. I thought it was just because I had to go, but it still hurts... are there concerns? Do I need to call the doctor if it doesnt go away?

if it would make you feel more comfortable call the dr. but you will experience all kinds of twings and pangs throughout your pregnancy!

Your uterus is supported by muscles anchored to the lower back. So the further you progress during your pregnancy, the larger your uterus gets, the more pressure ans strain on those muscles. Just wait a few more weeks

I started with lower back discomfort around the same time. I found that stretching in teh morning and at night and throughout the day help!

I most certainly had backpain at 9wks....call you dr if you are nervous, but as long as it doesn't persist and it goes away after you relax for a while with your feet up, I am sure you are just fine

I definitely had back pain that early on - still do. I say call your doctor though if it easies your concerns.

Lower back pain was one of my first symptoms. I am 7 weeks and I wake up every morning with a painful lower back. Stretching a bit helps me.

Thank you for the reply girls! I am just nervous about everything... I am going to try and relax so I dont stress myself out! pain went away overnight.. so hopefully it was just muscles stretching and reacting to everything going on!!!
