Back to Work in Two Weeks

So, I will return to the workforce FT in just about 2 weeks. Today we had the first orientation session for my son's daycare, and it was fine, he did fine. A little quiet, but he started to warm up at the end and was going to the caregivers when he wanted things instead of me.

But as I put him down for his nap today, it really hit me that I won't be with him all day. I've been a SAHm for 2.5 years and can't complain, that's a huge chunk of time to have with your child. But it's still hard to know we'll be apart, eventhough I know it's good for him to be around other children more and more at his age and he'll probably have a blast.

And just a few days ago I posted I couldn't wait to go back to work when he was driving me nuts with his tantrums. Such a roller coaster ride, being a parent. Now I know I will be a sobbing mess on July 1st.
