Re: backyard birthday parties

I plan on having Katie's first Birthday in our yard, in September. We had the baby shower in August and we did rent tables, chairs and tent, it was beautiful, we had about 40 people.

We didn't have it yet but we are having about 30 people and we did rent a tent, tables, chairs. If it rains I can't fit 30 people in my house.

We've had a few. One had about 50 people. We rented chairs/tables.

Another one had 30-35 people. We borrowed my BIL"s tent. We bought chairs because we plan on having more backyard parties.

Re: backyard birthday parties

We rented tables and chairs not a tent. We've done it before a couple of times. First time it worked out great. For her christening it rained so I was annoyed that we didn't do the tent but we're taking our chances again in May. We'll see. Maybe I'll change my mind and add the tent afterall.

Re: backyard birthday parties

We are planning DD's birthday party for the backyard.
We did her Christening Party in the yard.
We rented a tent, tables and chairs.
We had about 60 ppl

For her birthday - probably about the same amount of people, but we bought tables and are borrowing some from family. We are borrowing chairs and we are thinking of buying a tent

Re: backyard birthday parties

For my son's first birthday, we had about 60 people (incl. kids) in my yard. We rented tables and chairs and had 2 tents for shade.

For this years bday party, I am having about 50 people (inluding kids). I have some tables and lots of chairs, and I am borrowing some from family. I also own a tent and will borrow one from my parents, so we are set.

I never quoted a place - we just knew we were going to have a backyard party - and if it had to be indoors - we were going to use a family members home

Re: backyard birthday parties

we are having DD's 1st b day on May 5th in my IL's backyard.

We have about 40 people coming-close family and friends. We invited about 80 people, but lots of those invites were out of state had to invite kind or they would get insulted.

My IL's are prob going to rent a tent, chairs, tables, tent and a large BBQ.

I have a very big family so there's no way it comes out the same to have it at home v. out somewhere. It's way cheaper to have it at home.
