Re: Backyard Patio

The pavers you already put in are beautiful. I would try to use something in the same family if not the same ones.

Thank you.... If i was to use pavers I would want the same as the front...

I just dont know if it will look stupid having this huge paver patio in my backyard - plus were losing alot of the yard to a beautiful swing set (which is what started all this.. ).....

Re: Backyard Patio

I don't think SO. I had them done in my yard last year. It looks great, nice and clean.

Re: Backyard Patio

Pavers are nice but sometimes they buckle up. The recycled wood is great because you never have to do anything to it once it is installed.

Re: Backyard Patio

why don't you use the same person you used to do the front for the back patio? The person that did you pavers. I would pull your whole home together on the outside if you used the same color from the front. Do you have a pic of your backyard? Can you make the patio a little smaller so you don't feel like it takes over the backyard?

I actually got a quote from them last night - its just alot more $$ then expected - I am getting another estimate - he might not be that far off - as far as a pic of the yard - i will try and post one -

thank you everyone -

FM what the quote was for the size of the patio. I have someone that you might want to get a quote from and other girls on here have used him too. But maybe that is who you already got the quote from. Chat Icon

Right now I have a "patio" of sand because DS pulled up our brick patio in the fall Chat Icon

We have been going back and forth between trek, pavers and stamped concrete. From all the quotes we have gotten there wasn't that much of a difference between pavers and stamped concrete. I am 99% sure we are going with pavers and we will have a large patio, 20'x20' and that is a rough estimate.

Since you have pavers in the front, I would also go with pavers in the back. There are so many ways to soften the look by adding curves, retaining walls in only certain parts, maybe doing one step down to a smaller patio.

Re: Backyard Patio

I have someone that did an amazing job in my yard last year. I have my DH bring home all the information tomorrow I will send it to you. It's worth a call to get a prices. With all the rain and snow we have had I don't have one puddle in my yard.

Re: Backyard Patio

I have a trex deck and a stamped concrete patio in the backyard. I love both. The stamped concrete can be very slippery when wet though!

Re: Backyard Patio

We priced out all the options a few years back, we went with pavers.. they were $9 a sq feet. Regular concreter was anout $6 sq ft, the stamped concrete was more expensive ($12) and can be very slippery.
