bad mommy vent

This morning I had to go upstairs to get my shoes and of course I bring DS with me. I realized I was holding my cell phone and I didn’t want to forget it to bring to work. DS was already climbing up the first 2 steps and I RACED to throw my cell in my bag, 5 feet away. OF COURSE, DS fell backwards down 2 or 3 steps and banged his little face on the gate ? I felt awful..like a bad mommy…I should have not went over to put my cell away but I don’t like to forget it…now I feel like that was selfish of me…I guess we all have our moments.

Oh Jen. It's ok. Yesterday I was rushing after setting the alarm, ran out and smashed jasons head on the mail box. He looked at me like what did I do. I felt awful. They will smash down, trip and get right back up 1000 times more.

ugh I'm sorry hon. These things happen...we're human and you are NOT a bad mommy. You'd be a bad mommy if you had zero guilt over it.
