Bad Start to the day - Rude Comments
This is why people should keep their mouths shut.
Today is take your children to work day, and my company does a really big day for the kids. So there are tons of kids in the office today.
Anyway, so I go down stair to get something to drink from the cafeteria and while paying the cashier looks at me and smiles and says "oh your brought your baby to work with you today too" looking at my belly. At first I didn't know what she was talking about but when I caught on I just said "uhhh No" and walked away.
So I totally know that I still have about 15 lbs to lose in my belly (I was ALL belly when pregnant and huge) but why would you make that comment without being sure! She is a newer cashier and a part of me just wanted to cry but seriously I am only 4 months PP!
So Happy Thursday, now I have to go on a binge diet (j/k)

No I have never met her before. A bunch of the cashiers are new she is one of them. some that were there at the time know that I had a baby but they were no where around at the time.

It takes 40 weeks to put on and I think 80+ weeks to get off... hang in there ...

Don't let it bother you. When people would think I was still pg, it did annoy me but I would just smile & say 'No, I just had the baby' & then that would turn into a convo about if I had a boy or girl, what's his name, blah, blah, blah.

That happend to me after I had my DD, I went to get a pedicure and the woman asked me when I was due.....I felt a little upset but I knew she was just trying to be nice and really didn't know (I was 2 months PP), I know its better to not say anything if your not sure, but I don't think she ment any harm.

You need to say "Don't ask anyone if they're pregnant until you see the head coming out."
When, when, when will people learn.
Also at 4 mos pp, your body isn't fully recovered. Organs were shifted, skin stretched. It takes awhile until you're back in the swing.

Seriously, normally I am so okay with my weight I gained 50lbs and only have about 15 left and had a c-section so my belly isnt as resiliant! And I am totally reasonable about 9 months on, 9 months off theory. But I just couldnt believe she said it. Think it -- okay, but say it? COME ON!
Sorry I am in a bad mood, I was off yesterday loving my day home with DS, so not in the mood to be at work today. And then this is how my day starts!
Thanks everyone next time (which hopefully doesnt come) I will have a witty comeback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
