Re: Bahamas? yay or nay?

I stopped at Nassau on a RC cruise. It's in my review here . I wasn't crazy about it, BUT I only saw a small part of Nassau and there are a lot of islands besides that one. Good luck!

I think it totally depends on what you are looking for. I stayed at the Wyndham I think it was a few years ago and hated it!! Food was bad, beach wasn't great and I don't really like downtown Nassau.

With that said, we stayed at the Atlantis the past 2 years-both times the week after Thanksgiving. We love it there. (obviously since we went back) It is crowded though and there are kids there-but we are OK with that. That particular week it is not too crowded--we never had a problem calling the day of to go to dinner wherever we wanted. We also went swimming with the dolphins last year and it is awesome!! The casino is fun, there is a comedy club and movie theatre (not NY style night life but at least there is something to do at night). The reason we like it there is b/c my Dh and I have are different on vacation-he likes to sleep a little late and I am up at 7 or 8am. So I would go to the pool in the am and then DH would meet me there, if he is bored he walks around the grounds (it is like a big aquarium) or goes to the shops or casino. Not that we do that every day but my DH does not like to lay out in the sun--so at least there is plenty of other stuff to do. Wow!! That got long--sorry but I am like a walking brochure for the Atlantis!!

I love the Bahamas. I went there twice a year when I was younger and then went back again several times since. We also went there on our Honeymoon. I actually can't wait to buy a condo or something there. I feel like it is my home away from home.

Any questions give me an FMChat Icon

We spent 11 days in the Bahamas at the all inclusive resort "Beaches". Loved it! Chat Icon If you have the money though, I would even recommend staying at the "Atlantis" on Paradise Island. It is beautiful there and HOT! The Sandles Resort has gotten bad reviews and a friend of mine was also very disappointed with it.

I went about 15 years ago. From what I remember it was great.
