Bakery with nut free cake, preferably supermarket
I don't need anything special, it's for a work birthday but I'm looking for a nut free cake that can have a message written on. In the past I used a very expensive nut free bakery and the cake was horrible. Just want a basic cake, good tasting a plus, that doesn't say "made in a facility that also processes nuts" on the label.
Anyone know of any?

S&S by me has a whole table of nut free products in the bakery section. I assume probably all of them do?

You can get nut free cookies at the supermarkets (Lofthouse is the brand), but to get a cake with something written on it, you will need a bakery. There are a couple of Carvels (Hicksville is one) that will make you a nut-free cake.

Is it ok if it's just nut-free or does it have to be a place that can guarantee no cross contamination? If no cross-contamination, you can't go to a regular grocery store - it would have to be a specific nut-free bakery like ZuckerBakers or Bare Naked Bakery.
