Baking volume question
I have a recipe that makes 16 cupcakes. I want to make one giant cupcake using my wilton cupcake pan. The pan holds 10 cups of batter.
Should I double the recipe to make 10 cups? How many cups of batter make 16 cupcakes?
Thanks!

Re: Baking volume question
i am guessing the pan i made to use a standard box mix which would mean 24 cupcakes.... so double your recipe, fill it where it should get filled and then with the extra batter maybe make a couple little cupcakes to serve around it (that would be cute!).

Thanks! Oh actually I have a better idea. The cake is for a friend in MD, so we're traveling this weekend and having my BIL come feed our cat. I'll save any extra cupcakes for him as a thank you.
