Bank Statements for Mortgage???
My mortgage guy just emailed me and said that internet printouts are not acceptable and I have to get copies signed by a bank rep.
Can I just go into the bank and ask for them?
Does anyone know if this is also true for 401k accounts? How do I get a signature on those?
I'm p.o'ed cause I sent him the paperwork over a week ago and he's just telling me this now.

Re: Bank Statements for Mortgage???
They wanted 30 days of account activity for EACH account - and make sure if you get them from the bank they stamp them with their teller stamp and initial each page... we found that out the hardway...

Wow, what bank is this? We provided internet statements and had no problems. We actually just got our letter of commitment last night only 8 days (6 business days) after our application was submitted.
I'd be PO'd at the broker and ask why it took an entire week to get back to you on this!

Re: Bank Statements for Mortgage???
There's no reason why Internet statements would not suffice. Everyone is paperless these days. I emailed my mortgage guy the statements with no problems at all, and they accepted it.
I would challenge it. Why does he need a signed statement? That's ridiculous.

Re: Bank Statements for Mortgage???
I had the same problem. I went to the bank to ask for a statement, and they basically just printed it out the exact same statement that I had printed out from the internet. The bank ended up accepting it.
eta: sorry- just reread and saw that you needed it signed by the bank. I'm no help!

Re: Bank Statements for Mortgage???
yea we just printed out our statements and handed them in, but this was for perapproval. We will need to print them out again once its time to get the official mortgage.

Re: Bank Statements for Mortgage???
Internet printouts can be easily fudged.
Just print all the statements and go to the bank and have the bank stamp them if thats what the mortgage company wants.
