Baptism guests

If we have Connor's Baptism here in NC, we know obviously no one is going to come. No one even cared when he was born and since then.... no one! Chat Icon

Do we still send invites out to whoever we would of sent them out to in NY even though we know they're probably not going to come?

Thanks!

Re: Baptism guests

Aw, I am sure people care Connor was born.

I am going to baptize my baby in NC. I am not going to send out invites though. I don't expect anyone to come down for it, I feel like an invite would kind of feel like gift fetching. I would send out christening pics afterwards though.

good luck

Yeah, I didn't want it to sound like that, but my In-laws side of the family I think would get insulted if we didn't. It's no win situation unfortunately!

You're not upset that most people won't be able to come? I can't seem to get past that. Chat Icon

Would I like people to be there? sure...but in the grand scheme of "the day" it seems unimportant. If I am standing there in front of God with a healthy baby in my arms, I can't ask for more. It will be great if a godparent could be there, but if not I will just find standins.

I am sure however your day turns out it will be blessed.
