Baptism Question-

We are expecting a Chat Icon in September so I"m starting to think about LO's baptism. DH is not Catholic, but I would love for his older brother to be Chat Icon godfather. My sister will be the godmother, she is catholic. I've heard in some churches only one GP has to be catholic, is this true? I appreciate any comments,

TIA!!

Re: Baptism Question-

Our church only required one GP to be Catholic, the other was a "Christian witness"

Re: Baptism Question-

My dhs family is not catholic. My church told us that inorder to be a Godparent they had to be in the Christain faith.. Either Catholic, lutheran or protistant (sp?).. Jewish and Muslim were not, therefore not allowed to be Godparents.

eta: also as PP, My church required that one GP had to be Catholic, the other could be any faith as long as it was Christianity.

Re: Baptism Question-

We belong to a Roman Catholic church. And yes, only one godparent had to be Catholic.
