Baptism restaurant recommendation?
We are having our daughter's baptism gtg in our FIL's backyard but my sister is having her daughter Baptised later on in the summer (August) and is looking for a restaurant to have it at. She lives in Rocky Point so something on the East/North end would be good. She was talking about PastaPasta in Port Jeff but wants a few places to consider. Does anyone have any recommendations?
TIA! Melissa

I definitely recommend Bella Roma -- they just opened up another bigger one in Rocky Point.

Well she was considering Pasta Pasta and I've been there and it is a nice place -- and another place in East Islip I think called the Milk and Sugar Cafe or something like that --- so I think not overly fancy but more then casual, if that makes any sense.

Oh, I heard about that Sugar Cafe--I have never eaten there, but I heard it is very popular.

I've been to it -- it's very nice -- you don't eat at normal tables but instead there are old couches and chairs all around and you eat in these little nooks on couches and chairs -- and there is lots of nostalgic types of stuff on the walls -- it was very nice, food was great too when we went, the only thing is that it's a little weird eating with your plate on your lap or on a coffee table IMO. here is the link to the milk and sugar cafe

JR's Steak House in Rocky Point on 25A was one of my favorites. I use to live in R.P., before I moved here. They have a back room that can be closed off for parties (I believe).
