Need a nice restaurant recommendation for tonight PLEASE =)
Suffolk only, please.
We're picky (yet plain) eaters, and don't like a lot of gourmet spices and sauces, so a lot of the best restaurants on LI do nothing for us.
We're celebrating, so we'd like a nice place
We don't eat sushi, or any fish, for that matter....see what I mean about PICKY?!?
Anyone have any ideas? We always end up at the same places (usually italian), and we'd love something different.
Thanks a bunch

Mirabelle is French and you can get interesting combinations that are not spicy or have ingredients that are uncommon.
I love Crossroads in East Northport. They serve "American" food - steak, pork chops, etc.
The Sayville Inn is really nice too.
ETA: I haven't been there but I hear Blue Moon in E. Npt. is really good.

Food is delicious at these places...... ETA {At least in my opinion when I have gone there.....Yummy}
Christine's or Christina's in East Northport or Mario in Hauppague (a little pricey but fine restaurant is really nice....Food is delicious in both of these places)
Ciao Baby in Commack, NY, (You can pretty much find something on the menu that you will love).
Nocello's....Not too fancy but the food is delicious....
Pace's Steak House
Piccolo - Huntington----Family Style...delicious Italian Food...
I went to Blue Moon and thought the food and service were pretty bad.
Nothing else come to my mind but I'm sure I will come up with a few more after I post this. I will post them for you if I remembered any other....
And Enjoy your outing!

My absolute favorite restaurant is The Mill Pond House in Centerport. It's owned by the same people as Piccolo's in Huntington - which is also a great restaurant. The Mill Pond House is continential and Piccolo's in Italian.

Re: Need a nice restaurant recommendation for tonight PLEASE =)
thanks guys!
I'm going to look further into the Mill Pond House and Crossroads... I live in Kings park, how come I've never heard of Crossroads?!
As for the celebration - It's our engagement anniversary, and for some reason, Rich is making a big deal out of it.
eta: Mill Pond house is beautiful, but I just checked out the menu, and I don't know if Rich would find anything . Maybe I'll start looking Huntington Village area?
I'm trying to avoid italian b/c we're going out for italian on Sunday for my parents anniversary.

There's lots of places in Huntington Village - Tomo is a Japanese Steak House
Fiddlehead's - mostly seafood but there's other stuff and it is SO good.
Cassis - French and very good
Blue Hanu - Nice looking restaurant but I'm not crazy about the food.

Thank you for all of your help
I'm searching EatOutLI right now...if my boss could only see me now....hahha
Any kind of food, but to be honest, we love pub-style or American food. One of my favorite dishes is the Tuscan Chicken at 105 Harbor, but Rich doesn't enjoy anything there.
