Basement paint color?
DH finally finished spackling the basement so we're getting ready to paint. What color does everyone have for the walls? I want to stay light but do I have to do a beige?

We haven't even begun the process of finishing our basement but are in talks. That said, I'm not a beige person...I will probably pick another blue-grey b/c that is all I'm drawn to lately.

We used BM - Nantucket Breeze (light sagey green) and BM - Brittany Blue (light slate blue). Some pics in my album. These are both in Bedrooms, but I think they would look great in a basement too. BM has a lot of great small samples to use so you can put just a little on the walls and see what you like. GL!

Thanks! We have a sage-y green in our bedroom and a very pale lavendar in one of the guest rooms - but nothing blue in the whole house (except the office which we are going to repaint as soon as the furniture in there moves down to the basement when it's done)...maybe I will look at the light blues. We are probably going to do a medium brown berber carpet down there.

That is a very nice blue-silver color.
I think some sort of blue-ish color with the color carpet you are talking about would look really nice. My bedrooms will be blue & brown. Love the color combo. GL!

I would paint the basement any color as long as it's not too dark of a shade.

The LR is going to be the blue & brown scheme...I might throw in some orange accents for pop.

We did ivory but i think any light color would look good. I love the color Colleen posted. Also a very light sage green or a pale yellow would probably work well....

This is a pci from the previous owners but we kept the color. It's a light/grayish blue from Ralph Lauren. I really like the blue the PP used as well.
