Basement Progress (sorry lots of pictures)
Just wanted to share the progress of our basement remodel.
So far.. we have..
-converted from oil to gas - DH and family literally carried out the oil tank up the basement steps and out through my first floor
-Dh sprayed all the walls with a sealer to prevent water from coming in (just procaustionary, since luckily we havent had any issues with that)
-DH tore down all the paneling and most of the framing
-DH reframed
-put in a basement entrance. DH and FIL cut through the foundation and DH did all thbrick steps, installed door
-FIL put in most of the plumbing for the new bathroom, pump toilet etc.. also removed all the cast iron piping and replaced with PVC
-DH and my dad took out all the old wiring and replaced it with all new, DH put in all new switches and outlets and put in all the lighting.
-most of the doors are in
next up is sheetrock!!!
BEFORE

wow, I can't believe how much you guys have done on your own!! looks great! Can't wait to see it all finished!! I'm sure you can't either

thanks so much! thank god we have family help and that DH works so hard and knows how or learns how to do things. we would never be able to afford to have to pay someone to do it!
and yes i can't wait until it is done. right now the basement is unused space, it will be nice to have it all done.

In my next life, my husband will be as handy as yours.  That's some great progress you've made there!
Side note... We had those exact bar stools in our kitchen growing up - easily 20 years ago!!
