Re: Bathing Suit Question....

I just went through this today! I went with 1 size up and got a tankini (couldn't even consider a bikini), it kind of flows away from my belly too so I don't look too pudge, since I'll be about 14 weeks when we go away.

Target had all there bathing suits on sale, in case you were looking for somewhere to go!

Re: Bathing Suit Question....

Not sure if this is true at 16 wks since I was into my 3rd trimester by the time I was wearing bathing suits but, I got tankini's because I really wanted something to cover my belly and act as a barrier from the strong sunlight. In fact, sometimes I even put a towel over my belly as well. I found that when the sun shone on my belly it got very hot and made me very nervous - but maybe I was just being paranoid!

Re: Bathing Suit Question....

At 16 weeks I was wearing a maternity bathing suit. Out of nowhere I suddenly grew this belly and there was no denying I was pg anymore. It was a two piece and very comfortable. Before 16 weeks I was wearing regular tankinis.

Re: Bathing Suit Question....

I have a stretchy one piece that I've managed to wear all summer, and I'm 24 weeks now. Everyone is different, and some think I'm carrying small, but it's still working for me. I just hated to shell out money on a maternity suit for a few weeks!

Re: Bathing Suit Question....

I got a regular tankini from Target, and it still fits me. Covers my stomach still.
I didn't like how the maternity suits fit. THey looked silly, since I was pretty small at 14-16 weeks.

You'll have to try the bathing suit on an see. I had a one piece that I worn at 5 1/2 months pregnant and I fit myself in there. It did droop down more but not terrible.

It's a hard call - maybe buy one or two sizes up as suggested.
