bathroom redo/paint question
so we have a beautiful 1950s pink tile bathroom in our home. it is our guest bath. We do not plan on staying in this home forever so we do not want to gut the bathroom. The vanity, lights, and toilet are all new. We've decided to paint the pink tile (goes half way up the wall) white ourselves....HOWEVER the tub basin and floor will still be pink.
What color should we paint the top half of the wall if the tiles are white but there are still some pink accents (floor and tub)??
has anyone painted the tile themselves? I know some have hired someone but we do not want to do that.
thanks

Re: bathroom redo/paint question
Have you looked into reglazing the tub and wall tiles white? You can actually reglaze them any color you want to. A lot cheaper than redoing them! And a cheap fix for the floor can be the vinyl tiles for now - when done the right way they look a lot better than that 1950's pink floor!
In any case...I think grey would look nice with the white and it can go with pink if you were to leave the tub and floor as is.

I would go with a medium tone beige like BM - Lenox Tan. And then the accents can be brown (towels, etc). Love the look of Pink & Brown. I'm sure you can find great pink & Brown accents at BedBath&Beyond or Target.
As for painting the tiles, I would ask at Lowe's or HD the best paint to use. I'm sure there are lost of directions on the internet or even HGTV for this kind of project.

You should definitely hire a professional reglazer. Painting tile is not like painting a wall.

I agree. Even try the bathroom refitters where they put up the fiberglas stuff. I think that might be better, JMHO
