BD Timing and Gender?

This is not an area that I am at all familiar with, but I ran across this article and it piqued my interest. What do you ladies think?
BD Before O for a Girl; BD Closer to O for Boy

Re: BD Timing and Gender?

It is an interesting topic!
I was doing some reading this morning and I ran across this post, http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/t/3585.aspx

also check out http://www.in-gender.com

it has alot of information on it. I read through some of their surveys too!

At this point I would just be happy with a BFP!
Maybe with the 2nd one I will play around alittle more!

I've heard of that... that sperm with the X chromosome live longer and the ones carrying a Y are faster. Very interesting.

Re: BD Timing and Gender?

I read about this in the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Apparently, male sperm are faster but die more quickly, and female sperm are fatter, slower, and hardier so they live a lot longer. Therefore, they say if you want a girl to BD a few days before you O...and if you want a boy, BD right when you are about to O.

Re: BD Timing and Gender?

It's an interesting concept...but I know of two family friends who did this ...one family trying for a girl, the other trying for a boy twice.

The ones trying for the boy got two girls in a row, and the other family got their 3rd boy.

I don't know. I wouldn't put any stock in it. Out of millions of sperm, i don't really believe any method will help give a girl vs a boy but there are people who said it worked for them. I think its just luck!
