Beating the health care horse - can someone answer this question for me?
McCain's plan...
People keep talking about deregulating and it ending up like the mortgage crisis...
I read factcheck.org, I read McCain's plan on his webpage... and it only says that he will pass regulation on to the states. In turn he will work with the states to make sure everyone gets qualified... so how will this be "bad"?
Am I not understanding this correctly?

Because htere are always going tpo be states that want the business, tax dollars, and jobs form this industry and will impose fewer or no regulations, and the companies will move there.
Did you ever notice that 99% of the credit card offers you get are from Delaware? I don't know the details, but DE has really permissive laws when it comes to CC companies, so they all move there.

McCain will "attempt" to do those things.
Do you really think the health care lobbyists are going to allow half of what McCain has proposed???

Exactly. Every LLC I've ever formed has been a Delaware LLC - no question, no negotiation - they all go to Delaware because they have the fewest restrictions. So the health insurance companies would do the same - find the state that will impose the least restrictions on THEM which in turn means that they will offer YOU whatever puts the most money in their pocket.

this is exactly why. once it goes to the states, once the Fed gives up to "states rights" there will be states that have less regulations on what MUST be covered.
so while we now take for granted that certain screenings will be paid for (cancer screenings over a certain age or high risk) that could be eradicated.
so thinks you don't normally need to use up your FSA funding on, you will start to see that go much faster.
I am totally changing my avatar, btw.
