Because I promised many people that I would post this every year...on the Anniversary of 9-11...once again, my memoir. We will NEVER forget.

Makes me cry every year and for the first time, I realized I will one day have to explain this day to my children, I was a child myself, in 8th grade and didn't understand the impact on the world this would have.

I woke up this morning so anxious and sad - almost scared. And then I remembered the date.
And I CANNOT believe it's been 16 years.

My children saw me cry while watching the news this evening. They both discussed the events today in school. I am still and never will be able to get through today without crying. I tried, for the first to explain the gravity of the day to my kids. I had a lot of trouble coming up with the right words to say. It will never be the same.

I was thinking of this post last night. I still can't believe it has been 16 years. Today my kindergartner had to wear red, white and blue for patriots day. I tried to explain to him what it was about, why mommy was so sad. I still tape ceremony and watch it at night. I cry, I pray and I wish that day never happened. I see pictures every year that I never saw before, new memorials that I didn't know existed. It is a day we will never forget.

I thought about this post too. It’s like I remember what she wrote that day. It’s so vivid and clear all these years later I can still “see” it.

Ugh. I can’t beleieve it’s been this long. Change lives forever ??????

I read this every year and every year it makes me feel like I can't breathe. It doesn't feel like 17 years.

I read this every year too. The baby she was pregnant with is now going on 17!

I usually read the post. I just can’t bring myself to this year. I was crying last night just thinking about today. I really hate today and hate that we all lived through it and hate that I will have to explain it my children and I have no idea where to even begin. My dad was a firefighter in Queens (retired 2 years ago) and lost many many people. He was down there and never ever talks about it. Said we would have nightmares and doesn’t like if my sister or I even mention it. He went to the firehouse this morning and went home about 2 hours ago and said he was going to bed, that he was exhausted.

For 18 years I have come to this page. 18 years and I sill cry every time I read it. Never forget.

I cry every year, and think of this post. Thank you for sharing it. My heart is in my mouth every time I read this. I am writing with tears streaming down my face. I find today so difficult.
