Re: bed and breakfast recommendation needed
Haven't stayed here yet, but we are staying at The Mermaid Inn in Mystic, CT in July. Check out the reviews on Trip Advisor, it looks so sweet. I contacted the owner (Josephine) by email. She is so sweet, you don't hold with a credit card or anything, and she already asked us about our food preferences. Can't wait to go!

PORCHES in New Hope, PA
Very cute town to visit for a weekend. DH & I always have a nice time when we go there. The B&B is reasonably priced & breakfast is served every morning on the porch or if you book a room in the gatekeepers house, I think they will bring it to your room.
Fun nearby activities are: Rice's Outdoor Market (great flea market- must drive to get to) Peddler's Village (ok outlet stores, not great but they have a dairy queen :) - must drive to get to) River Country (where you can rent rafts, canoes, tubes & go down the delaware river- must drive to get to) There is a playhouse within walking distance & you can get tickets to see a play. TONS of places to eat meals & lots of ice cream shops within walking distance.

Re: bed and breakfast recommendation needed
We went for a long weekend to the Finger Lakes & spent the afternoons wine tasting at all the vineyards.
We stayed at Acron Inn which was a great B&B.....but a little out of the way from the vineyards. So charming there and the owner made the most incredible breakfast every morning.
There are a lot of B&B that are een closer to the vineyards.
Goodluck!

The White House, Port Jefferson
Amazing...we stayed for a cozy winter night (in room electric fireplace!)...but there's a huge pool in the back and bbq space, probably great in the summer
