Bed Bugs do bite
Well, there was some kind of "bug" sleeping with DS last night. Because this morning when he woke up, he had 5 different bites on him, 4 of of them on his head and 1 on his wrist. I stripped his whole bed this morning and washing everything. I didn't notice anything, wonder what it could have been? He doesn't seem bothered by the bites, so I guess that is a good thing.

Re: Bed Bugs do bite
I had a huge fly in my h ouse last nite that I don't know where it came from and it looks like one of the ones that bite I was freaking out that I closed my bedroom door so it wouldn't get in there and we all slept in my bed last nite cuz I didn't want my DD to get bit if it was one ofthe ones that bite

Re: Bed Bugs do bite
I have dealt with these awful bugs first hand at my apartment community that I manage. Did you keep the bug? Go to an exterminator and get it identified ASAP!! If it is bed bugs, there is going to be extensive treatment needed!!!
Let me know if I can be of any help!

Re: Bed Bugs do bite
Well, I don't think it was the true "bed bug", but rather a mosquito perhaps. The welts that he has are similar to those you get from a mosquito. I didn't find any actual bug or fly, but cleaned every thing good & washed all the linens. We will see, hope it doesn't occur again tonight I sure pray it wasn't a spider neither. Because if it were, that thing could be hidding out anywhere in the room

I hope it's not a bed bug
For piece of mind, please check for spotting-small dots the size of pen tip behind the crib, where the pieces meet, they like to hide in small crevices like for example where your headboard meets the frame etc..
And not to scare you, bed bugs only come out at night, so you won't see them during the day, and they are attracted to carbon dioxide-your exhale, that's why they mainly bite around on the upper body and the bites do look like mosquito bites.
I really don't want to worry you, but all it takes is one, and BELIEVE me dont' feel grossed out, They are not a cleanliness issue! You can pick them up at the mall, movie theater, they are hitchhikers.
