Bed time
My second was born September 1. I just put her in a cotton sleeper and a swaddle blanket (we keep the house cool) or a onesie and swaddle blanket.

Exactly this. Even for my winter babies (Dec and Feb). They sleep in a long sleeved sleeper and a swaddle blanket.

Re: Bed time
Ditto on the swaddle blankets. I registered for a variety and figured I could see which ones I liked best- from the regular muslin swaddle blankets to swaddle sleepers like the halo sleep sack, the miracle blanket, and the woombie.

i registered for a couple of halo sleepsacks, but I also added 2 of the aden+anais muslin ones in a size small because it's a much lighter material for the summertime

Same. I did the same thing for my first two. One was a June baby and the other was a December baby. Those sleepsacks are the best.

Re: Bed time
My first was an August baby. Since we had the a/c running in the house and it was cool, he slept in a onsie and a swaddleme. Just put him right in the crib like that every night. Nothing else in the crib with him....no blankets or pillows.

My LO hated being swaddle. He slept in feetie onezies with an undershirt. I put a light blanket on the bottom half of his body while in the rock n play when he was very small (out of arms reach).
The halo sleep sacks after great and thier swaddles, although my DS want into them.
