My DC are 14 and 17. They have to get up at 5 no matter what, so they've figured out through trial and error how late is too late... Chat Icon

Almost 11 and 8 - 9:30 on school nights (11 year old has to be up at 6:30 on in person days and 7:15 on remote days, 8 year old doesn't have to be to school until 9).

Re: Bed times

11 and 9

9 yr old goes to sleep between 8:30 - 9PM on weekdays. Up at 7:15 for school.

11 yr old goes to sleep around 9, but I do let him play or chat with friends for a bit and usually out by no later than 9:30. He's up at 6:40 for school.

Weekends they can stay up later. Especially if we are outside with plans. If no plans around 10 - 11. Unless there's an early game.

Re: Bed times

11 and 13 year olds and they go to bed at 9:45. They need to be up for their first class at 7:45. When they have to be on the bus it leaves at 7 am. I may push bed time back to 9. But so far 9:45 with no bus has been fine for them.

Re: Bed times

My DS is 6 years old and we say good night at 8 pm. He is usually asleep by 8:30.

My mom enforced an 8:00 in bed until I was in 7th grade with the exception of sports. I plan to do the same. I never had to be asleep at 8, but I had to be reading in bed by then.

ETA: My DH and I are usually asleep by 9 lol

My DD is 9 and goes upstairs at 8pm. But by the time she picks out her clothes for the next day, brushes her teeth and hair, gets her room ready, asks a million questions, etc... she actually gets into her bed around 8:30 and reads for a little bit.

They are all up at 6:30 for school. On weekends, we stick to the same bedtimes unless we have something special going on. It stinks having them wake up between 6:30-7 on the weekends, but DH & I like to have the nights to ourselves,

My 3 year old twins go down at 7:30. No matter what time they go to bed my one is up by 6:30 so the earlier they go to bedthe better because they are well rested. They fall asleep right away

My almost 5 year old never slept early ever. In bed by 11:00pm and then wake up at 9:30am. However, she is now in fulltime school so she goes in at 9/9:30 and wakes at 7:30 on weekdays. When there is no school its the first schedule.

My two are 10 and 4. They both go to bed at 8:30 on school nights. Up between 7/7:30am. On weekends, the 4 year old still goes to bed at around 8:30 and we let my 10 year old stay up to around 9:30/9:45pm.
