I would go a pale, almost white, blue. The pink would look nice too...but I'm not a pink person. The blue is cool and definitely reminds me of shabby chic.
This is what i was going to say!!!!! a pale blue (not a pink person either)

You could do a really pale yellow or a cream, I think both would go even if the bedding is blue/pink/mauve.
Lovely bedding too
