Bedding sets.....crib bumpers. Will you use them?

My daughter found a beautiful bedding set and I was just wondering how many of you are getting a set? Will you use the bumpers? What will you do with the comforter since you cant use it in the crib?
UPDATE: I just found a website where each piece can be purchased separately, so if she has a girl, we can just get the pieces she wants (sheet, dust ruffle, valance, etc) we don't have to get the bumpers or the comforter.

I will not be using the bumpers at first- I put breathable ones on my registry. I will drape the blanket on the crib when the baby isn't in it and then I will probably just put it on the glider when he uses the crib.

We get the bedding set, but will never use the bumpers in the crib. Not worth the worry in my opinion. The comforter gets hung up on our wall, does not go in the crib.

I will when the baby is MUCH older.

i used the bumper with my DS and will use it again with these babies.
the comforter i never used, but i draped it over his glider as decoration.

Not getting a set for that exact reason.
I have no idea what to do with the comforter and I don't feel comfortable with traditional bumpers.

It's a shame too because they have so many beautiful sets and it's so hard to find seperates... just the crib skit and the sheets.

i am getting the set. i will use the bumpers when the baby is older and i plan to hang the quilt on the wall as decoration until he is older as well. i want the sheet and the dust ruffle that come with the set (can't buy separately) and i feel like i will make enough use of the other pieces.

We put the bumpers in DD's crib a few months back... probably when she was about 7 or 8 months old and was able to move around well on her own. We hung her comforter on the wall. We'll keep it there until she moves into a big girl bed; at which point she'll use it as it's intended.

We plan to do the same thing for DS.

I got a set, I put the bumpers on the crib, but will take them off when baby uses crib (he will be in a bassinett for a few months first) I may use them when he gets older

I find most sets now consist of just bumper, sheet and crib skirt...at least at RH Baby and PBKids they are only 3 piece sets.
That is what I am getting...will have bumpers on until I feel they need to be removed. Not getting a blanket/comforter...waste of $ in my opinion and I don't like the look of hanging them on the wall or anything.

We used the bumpers. The quilt we hung over her glider for decoration, but now that she is in a twin bed, she uses it for a blanket most nights.

We have a wet for DS. Kind of a waste IMO now. We used the sheet, the bumper, and the bed skirt - but the comforter is in the attic. I don't think we will ever use it for anything. I kind of wanted to find a way to hang it on the wall as decoration, but DH didn't like that idea.

We registered for a set, but I have been thinking about changing it because we won't be using the bumpers (we registered for breathable ones) or the quilts.

What site did you find with seperates? I haven't found any nice seperate pieces yet...

at first i will be using the breathable ones. then when she gets big enough to lift her head i will use the bumpers that came with the set.
