bedtime is getting LATER?!?!?!?

I thought as DD got older, she would gradually start sleeping longer. We were in a pretty good routine of having her down to sleep between 730/8p. There were even some nights where she was struggling to stay awake at 7p. I really thought her bedtime would eventually settle in somewhere around 7p as she got older (she's now 5mos 2wks), but ever since we started her on fruit, it's a struggle to get her to bed by 9p! Maybe it's just a coincidence regarding the fruit or maybe she's teething, but I'm exhausted! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oh yeah...she's still waking up during the night for a bottle...sometimes 2x! Chat Icon

Please say this is just another phase she'll outgrow.

Re: bedtime is getting LATER?!?!?!?

Mine slept through the night by 3 1/2 weeks was down by 7:30 woke at 6-6:30 I thought I had it made.

At 6 months to the date she started waking up wanting a bottle needing to be held, put her in my bed just to get some rest......She never left she is 2 1/2 now.

Still waiting for this faze to pass

I wish you pleasant dreams if you get to sleep lol

Re: bedtime is getting LATER?!?!?!?

It seems that just as they settle into a nice routine, it gets changed all around. Have you let her cry a little before going in to her room at night? At 5 1/2 months she should be able to go through the night without eating. So that may just be a habit you need to break by letting her CIO, if you feel comfortale with that method. Sleep begets sleep, so I bet that once she stops waking 2x a night she will sleep better and go back to her earlier bedtime. My DD is 6 months and goes to bed about 7:30 and sleeps until about 6:30. She was consistently waking up at 4am every night and we just let her cry it out and in a few days she was over it and doesn't wake until morning now.
