Bedtime routine - What's your's at 6-7 weeks old?
Is there such a thing as a bedtime with a baby that young? I just can't seem to remember what I did with my 1st son? He STTN around 6 weeks old. My 1st son, was up all the time. Taylor will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. What can I do to get her used to bedtime? It's hard to do a routine with 2 other kids, and having to sleep on the couch with her. My DH stays up late and in the living room too. She will only sleep in the bouncer/swing right now. I've only been able to sleep in my own bed 1 time in 1.5 months. I miss sleeping in my bed and w/my DH. I tried the bassinet in my bedroom, but she's up all the time crying. In the bounce she will actually sleep for a little bit. Any suggestions? TIA!

I'm sorry- I was there too a few short months ago. DD is 3 months now and just recenty started STTN. But we had the routine of giving her a bottle and bath then bedtime from the start. We swaddled and also elevated the bassinet a little with a rolled up towel, that seemed to help because she hated it at first too. good luck! hopeit gets better

Buy the Fisher Price rock and play sleeper...DD slept in that the first 3 mos of her life. It's nice bc it's evelated so if she'd cry out I could just reach over from my bed without getting up and stick a binky in her mouth or gently rock her. It's my 1 can't live without item. Don't use it anymore now at 6.5 mos but for the first few mos....it's a must have! It's only $50 and well worth it. It keeps them elevated to sleep...my DD hated sleeping flat on her back. It's approved for sleeping in...gets amazing reviews. Also try the miracle blanket for swaddling...once we used that DD slept amazing! Wrap them up really tight like a burrito! Our bedtime routine at that age was just bath, bottle (sound machine on heartbeat when giving her bottle), bed (we change sound to white noise for sleeping). Sound machines are also a must for me!
