Bee question and removal of a maple tree.. FREAKING OUT
We just had a large maple tree removed from our front yard. I did not know there was a bees nest in it. The tree had to be taken down becuase it was dying. The bark was pulling up in sheets, and branches were starting to fall. they did a great job, but we were out there putting our cars back into the driveway after they left, and there had to be about 40-50 bees going crazy near were the tree was. My poor neighbor was in her car trying to talk to us and had to leave, we ran in the house. If the tree is gone will the bees go away too, or will I have to call the exterminator to come and spray the area. I called and left them a message, but I am kind of freaking out here, me and bugs to not go hand in hand. TIA!

The exterminator called me back, and he is coming tomorrow to just check things out. He said that these types of bees go into the ground! YUCK! And the nest might have been disturbed when they got rid of the tree stump. He said he will be here in a bee suit- oy....
