I looked around for a few places by me in suffolk and thought they were a rip off.
I taught myself how crochet with a beginner book, and I taught myself how to knit with a few online tutorials.

I found that continental knitting is easier than english.

I taught myself to knit from a book.
The name of it is "I taught myself knitting". I got it from Michaels. You can get it in a kit which includes different sized needles, stich holders and other things you might need.
Its pretty good, I learned in a day or 2.
