Belgian blocks

Are there any other materials that are less expensive than belgian blocks to use on the edge of our driveway (which will most likely me asphalt)?

When we did our driveway they told us the only way to do it right was to use the belgian blocks. They're expensive but worth it, and they look nice. The only other option is to grade your property away from the driveway so the rain slides off. The only time you really need the blocks is if the grass surrounding the driveway runs into the driveway.

I have seen pavers or decorative bricks lining both sides of the driveway. The also look nice.

you can try a DIY cynderblock project, fill the holes with cement.
