Looks like a cute flip. It's nice and cleaned up.
I wonder if there are hardwood floors under there? There had to be at one time if it's 1929 construction.
Oh, the moldings are making me DROOL

Not really they painted and sided... And updated small kitchen
Moldings are probably original those colonials all had that trim, bathroom was painted. Fixtures are not brand new and beither are appliances
Commercial carpeting through out. And tile floor in kitchen is not expensive stuff and counters are formica
Not much $$

Then I don't understand why they didn't at least sand and finish them in the living room and diningroom in those pics. It would cost next to nothing to do and would be GORGEOUS instead of that yucky. commercial grade carpet. I have a feeling there is a problem with them
Someone put in less than 10K into that house. It's a spit shine... those cabinets are cheap, appliances at least ten years old.. it's mostly paint.
It may have been an estate sale that they cleaned up a bit. that's what we had to do with my granny's house, very similar layout, 20 years ago.

Cause if it is a flip its easier to just do bare min. Commercial carp cheaper than redoing floors...

Trust me I know, I've been involved in a few flips. I'm 90% positive there is a problem with the floors because if floors are in good shape flippers will take one day to sand and put three coats of poly on that floor... that's the same amount of time it would take to wait for the carpet, the house would present better... hardwood floors sell houses.
I'm guessing they needed repair work due to animals or termites and they didn't want to do it so carpet was easier. Any potential buyer is going to ask what's under that carpet. If it was me, I'd be taking the corner up to double check.

It depends on what they were going for in the flip.
For the buyer thats a score, no need to pay an extra 20k for refinished floors.

I agree but if someone is looking for that location, and maybe cant afford to go higher it might be worth it to a buyer to do it themselves
THeres a reason to every madness

Re: Belllmore house under $400k
My friend who is looking said his agent looked at the house and he said it is very small on the inside. Most dutch colonials in that style are...The rooms are usually small. He said just like everyone else said. They replaced the siding, roof and windows, put down commercial carpet, painted, put in inexpensive cabinets and cleaned really well.
Its nice that there is a PVC fence in the yard. Even if it is a cheap flip, it is in Bellmore....Its a great school district, a really nice house and a great area....
I told my friend to look at it anyway
