Berkshires and Cape May questions

Hi ladies, I'm posting this here because I need to make a decision asap and the travel board is pretty dead so please forgive the repost

The Berkshires - Anyone been? Where did you stay? We are looking for an upscale resort type of place - nice restaurant, outdoor pool, gym etc.

Cape May - here it looks like we are leaning towards Congress Hall - anyone been during the summer? There are reviews but none out there of the summer facilities - i.e how is the pool, beach etc.

Thanks so much in advance. I live by tripadvisor but I find they are really lacking when it comes to these weekend getaway type of places. Any other website suggestions?

Love the Berkshires. But, this time of year it will be packed and muy expensive because of Tanglewood.

I would recommend The Inn at Stockbridge. If you do decide to go, PM me for a list of restaurants. There are some great ones there. And, do check out the Norman Rockwell Museum.

I've never been to Berkshires but loved Cape May. I didn't stay in Congress Hall - but do know that the beach is right there.

I don't know about the pool at Congress Hall, but the beach is just across the road. I loved Cape May and want to go back soon!

I think it is called Canon Ranch in the Berkshires my boss is there now and it is great!

Canyon Ranch is a very well-known luxury spa.

Tanglewood is where you can go to sit on blankets and such and listen to live music outside- I think it is mostly the Boston Pops... I used to go as a kid-- I went to sleepaway camp in the Berkshires.

I also go to Cape May every summer-- or at least just once a year-- Cape May is the perfect spot for a summer weekend-- I cannot tell you enough about it. I have never stayed at Congress Hall- but have eaten there and gone into the shops. The pool looks nice from afar-- but you are also so close to the beach. You do need to buy beach tags for like $5 bucks a day or something. Cape May is definitely better if you want to drive there, park your car, and not use it all weekend.
