best ab exercises...ps i HATE crunches!
What do you ladies do for abs? I really really hate crunches and would like some easy alternatives. Do they exist??!!

How about leg lifts. Laying on the floor on your back, put your hands under your butt and lift your legs up, then down to an inch off the floor.....repeat.
There are actually some ab exercises you can do while standing but I'd have post pics for ya.
I know you hate crunches but you can do them different ways.......like for example, your feet flat on the floor, your knees up in the air, or your legs straight up in the air. It kinda breaks it all up.
Oh and the bicycle thing works also. Where you lay on the floor, hands behind head, and reach your right elbow toward your left knee, but in a peddling-like motion.

I don't really train my abs. they pop from all the other training I do. But If I was, I would do hanging leg/knee raises, or use the weighted cables once or twice a week, 2- 3 sets of 10-15.

can you explain what hanging leg/knee raises are? i think i know, but im not sure.

Do you do any kickboxing by any chance? That's something that works your abs a LOT.
Other than that, I'm not really much help because I love crunches I also love doing planks - they're not that bad. Just get into a pushup position (the up position) and hold it. Make sure your back stays nice and flat. Hold that for as long as you can. You can do this resting on your forearms if doing the straight arm version is too hard.
Stability ball work is fun too. So many things you can do with it....
