Best credit card for airline miles?
My parents are likely moving out of state in a few months, so I'm looking to maybe switch cards to build up airline miles.
Right now we have a citi rewards card we can use for travel, but I'm not sure if there's one that is better?

I love my Capital One Venture because you can use it on any airline at any time, no black out dates etc
You can also use it towards free hotel nights - so you don't have to use it for just airfare.
Very flexible

I use my Amex Gold card to transfer miles to whatever airline I am flying.
We also have an Amex SPG, and a Chase Marriott card.

It depends on where you are looking to travel. I have a jet blue card because most of my travel is to FL. My Parents have a Southwest card cause they fly from Tampa to Islip.

Chase Sapphire.
Am Ex Platinum if you want more high end travel and don't mind the $500 annual fee - has awesome benefits but not worth it unless you'll take advantage i.e., buy one get one business class tickets on international flights.

Chase Sapphire Reserve hands down. I can't believe how many travel rewards I have right now. We just booked a trip (hotel and airfare) in October just on points I earned in last three months. I still have tons of points left too.

I love the Chase sapphire reserve but depending on where they are moving to - you might do better with a Southwest card or an airline that flies where they are.

i love the venture card too, but i think if you have an idea of airline or hotel company that you would use frequently, one of their cobranded cards may be a better bet. the venture doesn't give you an advantage except you can apply it to any travel purchases. a cobranded card may help you get to next levels, other bonuses, etc. my dh and i dont travel very often or for very long so we didnt have any brand loyalty which is why we picked venture to start.
